REWARDS
HONOUR ROLL
Category One
The Honour Roll is made up of students whose average is 80% and over in the Internal Examination. This category is divided into two divisions. The upper division is for students with average between 85% - 100% and the lower division is for students with averages between 80% - 84%. Students are encouraged to be on the Principal‟s list (100-90%).
Category Two
All students whose average falls from 75% to 79% will receive Certificate of Merit.
Category Three
All students whose averages are between 75% - 74% will be commended for their efforts. All students who place first in his or her class but do not fall in the other two categories will receive a Certificate of Commendation.
Merits
Students will be given merits for outstanding and exemplary behaviour and academic performance. Merits will be given in recognition of:-
- Outstanding cases of helpfulness, cooperation and good citizenship.
- Students' interest and participation in extra-curricular activities and evidence of good leadership
- Demonstration of exemplary leadership in the classroom.
- Marked improvement in conduct in and out of class.
- Good performance in monthly tests assignments and examinations.
- Class work done well or significant progress shown
- Marked improvement in class work, tests and or examination.
- Demonstration of honesty.
- Outstanding performance when representing the school.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Prize Giving
Prize Giving is held once per year during the 1st term of the year. Students who have performed exceptionally well academically or in extra-curricular activities will receive trophies and certificates for work done.
Grade 7 Award Ceremony
Grade 7 Award ceremony is held in March of each year. Grade 7 students who have performed exceptionally well academically or in extra-curricular activities will be recognised and awarded the Charlemont Star award.
